If you’re creating a contract in Knowify using Professional style job costing, you can mark up each material from your budget at a different rate when quoting prices to your client.
To start, create your materials list in the Plan & Track section of your job:
Once you have your list of materials, choose to Use Project Plan Phases when creating your proposal. Then click “Enter Breakdown or Bill of Materials”
Next, choose “Copy Materials from Plan”
Once the materials list is in from the plan, you can add the markup for each material individually, and click “Update Price” to quote this to the client:
**NOTE: If you choose to use this method, you should also choose “Copy Labor from Plan” to markup labor, as using the boxes below will clear out the markup from the bill of materials**
